recived your letter well sorry am sick don't get more cold thair is a lot sick here with the cold we have a poor barrax here it is a concreat Building just like sleepin in a green seller damp and cold no ventlation at all an the Roof well thair is a lot here from doak town chatham nelson a lot I know well I cook by night from 7 pm. To 6 am. We have about 90 men to give dinner at we start dinner at 1130 and finish about 130 that is the Picket and guards we have 6 in the kitchen My assent cook is stafford Travis from chatham we get along good well we have a big crowd hee of course a lot have gone home for xmas we will have only about six hundard for xmas dinner about half went home
