Dear Pat,
I am glad to hear you are well. I expected you would be out of the army now. We are all well here and I have left school. I am working in a Sawmill. May well be demobbed next month. Isobel has been in Canada for 4 months now and I have only had 2 letters from her.
Mam has had more than that, but not many more. Mam has not had a letter from her for 2 weeks now and I have not had one for 2 months. I have a motor bicycle now but I will not get my driving licence untill next June. I have built 2 sheds since you went across. Father Geddes is still quite well. Enchless Castle was bought by a Russian Baron. Baron Nicholas Stackleburg. Margaret McMillan & Jean Dawson have decided to stay on with him. Isobel is quite happy in Canada and Anne is settling down now.
Eric
